Le Pressoir de Monceau

Le Pressoir de Monceau is a reception area for artist residencies and business seminars. It is also our place of life. Its vocation: to facilitate the emergence of projects by socio-economic actors and to reveal the talent of young artists.

In 2015, we moved into this property that has been a part of our family’s history for over seven generations. It is located in the heart of the vineyards of southern Burgundy, right next to the Château de Monceau where Alphonse de Lamartine lived and received many artists, such as Chopin and Liszt.

Along with the physical items that we brought with us, we brought an idea and let it mature for several years: to make our new home, which was much too big for our daily life, into a place of meetings and reflections. Thus was born “Le Pressoir de Monceau,” which is not just a property but a project built around three objectives: to hatch the ideas and initiatives of socio-economic actors of local and international scope, to reveal the talents of young artists, and to create bridges between people who undertake projects.

Anchored in the cultural and economic fabric, we participate and actively support the creators or buyers of local businesses, young artists in our “coup de pouce à des jeunes pousses” program and the MUSIVAL festival

A monumental old press, over 300 years old, is housed in our meeting and concert room, giving it a remarkable atmosphere and wonderful acoustics. Recordings take place there regularly.

Our old family vacation home has found a new rhythm of life, and a new soul focused on doing it together. It is wide open to you!
