"When I started making violins, my master told me that it would take ten years to make a good violin maker. That was in 2005." In 2017, thanks to his mentors Pascal Lavigne (2005-2008, Grenoble) and Charles Coquet (2009-2017, Paris) for teaching the art of making violins and allowing to work alongside them, Jean-Clément Grisard opened a workshop dedicated to the making of the quartet's instruments. In 2018 he was awarded the fourth place for a viola at the Mittenwald International Competition in Germany.
