Domaine de La Garde

The Domaine de La Garde is a 14ha property on the outskirts of Bourg-en-Bresse in the Rhone-Alpes Region of France.

It dates back to the 14th century. The main house was built is a Palladian style villa built by the Swiss architect Samuel Vaucher in the 1830. Its six reception rooms on the ground floor, the two upper floors and the cave have been completely renovated during the past 10 years. The spacious stables, constructed in the 1860, have been transformed into two concert rooms with 220m2 and 80m2. Other buildings host additional space for receptions, exhibitions, kitchens, and a greenhouse. The park features close to 200 different species of trees and bushes.

The Domaine de La Garde has become a not-for-profit meeting place and cultural centre hosting every year over 100 events and close to 10.000 visitors.
