Quartetto Indaco at Het Huys Donck

From Monday, March 18th to Friday, March 22nd, 2024, Quartetto Indaco from Italy will spend a week in residence at Akoesticum with trainers from Stichting Strijkkwartet Biennale Amsterdam, a MERITA platform member who will accompany them in the development of their project on the chosen topic “Disabilities, interaction between professional musicians and fragile communities.” The residency will culminate in a concert on March 22nd at Het Huys ten Donck.

SHADOWS RESONANCE - A Musical Odyssey Through Light and Darkness

This performance project explores the contrasting life paths of the 19th-century composer and pianist Robert Schumann and a contemporary 35-year-old violinist, Sarah. Through personal struggles with mental health, a compelling narrative highlights the dichotomy between light and darkness,
showcasing how music serves as a lifeline for both characters. SHADOWS RESONANCE is not just a musical performance but a journey through human experience.
