PROGRAM

Through the music of Franz Schubert and George Crumb, and the telling of traditional and contemporary dark tales by Sasha Vougari, the audience will be invited to navigate dark mysterious worlds and explore the emotions and associations that will be evoked by the pairing of traditional storytelling and music.

The Nerida Quartet, driven by the aftermath of the pandemic and the ongoing wars taking place in Europe – and beyond – but also by the tumultuous period of sadness, death, violence and darkness we are going through, strives to lead the audience to a form of catharsis, which it is also one of the fundamental elements and purposes of art.
