Through the words of Clara Wieck-Schumann, wife of Robert Schumann, and those of Sarah Kim-Cross, an Anglo-Korean violinist sharing the story of her battle against mental disability, a path is traced that, starting from two opposites, has as its central theme the music, a metaphor for damnation and redemption. The music of Robert Schumann, who was interned at the end of his life in the Endenich institution, and poured his spirit into his pages trying to exorcise his demon -as he used to call it-, and that of the cellist of the group, Cosimo Carovani, who wrote and arranged specifically for this project, merge with the words and the wonderful images created by the visual artist Letizia Castellano, thus creating a multisensory journey through one of the most delicate and important themes of our present.

MUSIC PROGRAM

Selected pieces by Schumann and Carovani
