Where should a listener sit to experience Beethoven most intensely: inches from the musicians, behind them, or moving freely through the space? Animato Quartet turns the audience into active participants, replacing the fixed stage with an intimate, gallery-inspired setting. Three quartets from Beethoven’s Op. 18 are selected and spatially arranged for each venue, allowing every performance to reveal new perspectives on the music and the connection between performers, listeners, and place.
