Formed in 2017 by four high school friends from Toulouse, Quatuor Våren quickly developed a shared passion for the string quartet repertoire. After a year of studies in Toulouse, they pursued their own paths in Paris and Cologne, staying connected through summer masterclasses and concerts. In 2022, they reunited under Luc-Marie Aguera at the CRR de Paris, strengthening their collaboration.
The quartet has performed at prestigious festivals, such as Festival Radio France Occitanie Montpellier, Quatuors en Pays de Fayence, and Moments Musicaux de la Baie du Mont Saint-Michel, and participated in masterclasses with ensembles like Quatuor Ébène, Quatuor Ysaÿe, and Quatuor Debussy.
In 2024, Quatuor Våren won 3rd prize at the Lyon International Chamber Music Competition and 1st prizes at the FNAPEC and Virtuoso & Belcanto Competitions. Later that year, they became the first string quartet in the CNSM de Paris’s new master’s program, studying under Louis Rodde and Sarah Dayan. Since September 2025, they have also been benefiting from the advice of the Quatuor Modigliani at the École Normale de Musique de Paris.
