Winner of the Special Prize at the Joseph Joachim Competition 2025 and the 2024 Abbiati Prize, Trio Sheliak unites three distinct musical personalities into a single, intuitive sound. Founded in Florence in 2019, the ensemble has earned numerous awards, including the Giangrandi Eggmann Prize 2025 and the Luigi Nono Prize 2023 (with a contemporary music distinction). Based in Switzerland since 2020, they completed top-mark chamber music studies at Bern Hochschule, Luzern Hochschule, and the Conservatory of Parma under Patrick Jüdt, Hiroko Sakagami, Isabelle van Keulen, and Trio di Parma. An official ECMA ensemble and part of Le Dimore del Quartetto, they have performed at Flanders Festival Ghent, Chamber Music Trieste, Piano Trio Fest, KKL Luzern, and made their China debut in 2024. Trio Sheliak’s artistry is grounded in empathy, creativity, and connection with audiences, blending classical and contemporary repertoire.
