Trio Chimera was formed under the guidance of Patrick Jüdt at the Hochschule der Künste Bern and earned its Master’s in Chamber Music in 2023, continuing studies with Quartetto di Cremona, Trio di Parma, and Henk Guittart. They drew inspiration from Mischa Maisky, Amiram Ganz, Antonio Meneses, and Eckart Runge, and attended masterclasses with Clive Greensmith at Accademia Chigiana. As official members of ECMA, they studied with Hatto Beyerle, Vera Martínez Mehner, Jens Elvekjaer, and Ernesto Molinari. The trio has won numerous international awards, including Best Italian Ensemble at the Filippo Nicosia Competition (2022), 1st Prize at the Busan ICM Competition (2025), and 1st Prize at the Burri Chamber Music Competition (2025). They perform across Europe and the U.S., with a repertoire spanning classical and contemporary works, and recently received a commission from Fabio Vacchi.
