Founded in 2024, the Citadelle Quartet is a French–Japanese ensemble formed at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where it studied with François Salque and Jean Sulem, and at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris in the “Cycle Concertiste” with Miguel Da Silva. The quartet has received guidance from members of leading international ensembles and prominent musicians, and since September 2025 has been in residence with ProQuartet.
The Citadelle Quartet has appeared at festivals including the Rencontres Musicales de La Baule and the Festival de La Chaise-Dieu, and performed at the Festival de La Roque d’Anthéron, where a collaboration with composer Michaël Levinas led to a new commissioned work. In 2024, the quartet received the special “Cordes en Ballade” prize from the Debussy Quartet at the FNAPEC European competition.
