Formed in 2023, Quartetto Pegreffi is a young Italian ensemble dedicated to preserving and representing the modern Italian string quartet tradition, named in honor of violinist Elisa Pegreffi. The quartet won the Amici della Musica di Verona Prize 2024 and was selected among ten quartets for the Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition 2025. It trained under Cuarteto Casals and Heime Müller at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, and attended ECMA sessions in Fiesole and Marktoberdorf, as well as the JM International Chamber Music Campus in Weikersheim. The ensemble holds a Master’s degree in Chamber Music from Conservatorio ‘Arrigo Boito’ Parma and studies at the Ébène Quartet Academy, Hochschule für Musik und Theater München, Musikhochschule Lübeck, and Accademia Stauffer di Cremona. Quartetto Pegreffi performs at major Italian and European festivals and is a member of Le Dimore del Quartetto and Musica con le Ali.
