Helix Trio

Founded in 2022 at the Hochschule für Musik FHNW Basel, Helix Trio consists of violinist Jaume Angelès Fité, cellist Iago Domínguez Eiras and pianist Paula Belzunegui Moreno. In 2024, the trio was named Rising Ensemble 2025 by Festclásica, ensuring performances at major Spanish festivals. They were awarded Second Prize at the Premi BBVA de Música de Cambra Montserrat Alavedra, the Filippo Nicosia Prize in Italy, and previously won the ORPHEUS Swiss Chamber Music Competition. Members of the European Chamber Music Academy and Le Dimore del Quartetto, they are mentored by Anton Kernjak, Claudio Martínez-Mehner, Anna Gebert, Patrick Jüdt and Johannes Meissl. The trio has appeared at festivals including Piano Trio Fest Bern, Swiss Chamber Music Festival Adelboden and Musikdorf Ernen, and made their debut at the Palau de la Música Catalana and L’Auditori Barcelona. Their artistic development has been shaped through masterclasses with leading international chamber musicians.
