Dora Piano Trio

Founded in 2024 in Basel, the Dora Piano Trio brings together violinist Sofia De Falco, cellist Axelle Richez and pianist Rocco Michela, who met during their studies in Lausanne and at the Hochschule für Musik Basel. In November 2024, the trio won First Prize at the ORPHEUS Chamber Music Competition, leading to performances at major Swiss festivals including the Swiss Chamber Music Festival, Musikdorf Ernen, Zunftkonzerte Zürich and Piano Trio Fest Bern. In 2025, they were finalists at the Brahms International Chamber Music Competition. Based in Switzerland, the trio performs regularly at festivals and concert series such as Festival Musique et Vie and Concerts au Lignon. In 2025, they joined Le Dimore del Quartetto. Their artistic focus combines lesser-known repertoire with core works, with a particular emphasis on the chamber music of Dora Pejačević, to whom the ensemble is dedicated.
