Arda String Quartet

Based in Basel, the Arda String Quartet was formed in 2023 by four musicians from four different countries, united by a shared dedication to the string quartet repertoire. Since its foundation, the ensemble has studied at the Hochschule für Musik Basel FHNW, receiving guidance from Jiří Němeček, Rainer Schmidt, Claudio Martínez Mehner, Rafael Rosenfeld and Anna Gebert. In 2024, the quartet was awarded a Special Prize at the Orpheus Chamber Music Competition, leading to its debut at the Swiss Chamber Music Festival in 2025. Further invitations include Le Vent sur l’Arbre Festival in France and the Altstadtserenaden series in Basel. The quartet has worked with leading artists through international academies and, in 2025, joined Le Dimore del Quartetto.
