In typography, the “Alinea” symbol marks the beginning of a new thought. Founded in Munich in 2020, the Alinea Quartett adopts this idea to rethink the role of chamber music today. Through conversational recitals, interdisciplinary projects and experimental concert formats, the ensemble seeks an active dialogue with its audiences.
The quartet has performed at venues such as the Prinzregententheater, the Musikverein Graz, the MAAT Museum, University of Cambridge and the Venice Biennale, while also engaging with schools, retirement homes and children’s clinics.
Studying with Prof. Alexander Pavlovsky (Jerusalem Quartet) at the Kunstuniversität Graz, the ensemble has received several international awards and scholarships. Drawing on backgrounds in musicology, literature and philosophy, the Alinea Quartett develops distinctive interpretations and creates its own arrangements of classical and jazz repertoire. Their debut album Le temps perdu will be released by DaVinci Classics in 2025.
