Andreas Kessler is a film director. He began creating short films at just 14 years old, quickly establishing a name for himself with powerful, socially conscious storytelling. His works, such as CAMOUFLAGE, BLIND AUDITION, SINKENDE SCHIFFE and NAKAM, tackle social issues like homophobia and domestic violence. His films have premiered at major festivals (TRIBECA, Palm Springs, Max Ophüls), won several awards, and NAKAM was shortlisted for the 95th Oscars. He is particularly interested in the world of music: one of his notable projects, BLIND AUDITION, for example, tells the story of two violinists who are romantically involved while vying for the same solo role in an orchestra. The film garnered critical acclaim, competing at the TRIBECA Film Festival, earning a place on the student BAFTA shortlist, and receiving a nomination for the German Short Film Award.
