Landgoed Sandenburg Langbroek
Netherlands
Sandenburg is a historic family estate located in the heart of the Netherlands. Surrounded by 600 hectares of woodlands and fields, Sandenburg is a green oasis rich in nature and history.
The estate is renowned for its striking white castle and surrounding historic buildings.
The history of Sandenburg dates back to the 13th century, although the castle as it stands today was built in the 1860s. During that period, the original tower was expanded and transformed into a white neo-Gothic castle. At the same time, three additional white buildings were constructed in the same architectural style: the Orangery, the Coach House and the Gatehouse. All four buildings were renovated in 2000.
The castle is still inhabited by the Van Lynden van Sandenburg family. Today, the Orangery serves as a venue for weddings, meetings, and classical music performances. Standing seven meters high and featuring seven large doors opening onto the gardens of Sandenburg Castle, the Orangery offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. Thanks to its acoustic panels, the Orangery has an excellent acoustic sound.
