Dwór w Sułkowicach

Poland

The first historical information about the manor in Sułkowice was published in 1247. Therefore, in 2027 we will be celebrating 780 years since the establishment of Sułkowice. The current building was constructed around 1840 in the classical style, typical of manor estates from that period, and is located in a park with a valuable tree population. The oldest tree (pedunculate oak) is about 300 years old and is a Natural Monument.

The park and manor are listed in the Register of Historic Monuments. After World War II, it was taken over by the State and fell into ruin. Since 2000, it has been undergoing renovation by the current owners. The manor opened its doors in 2015 and radiates what is known as high culture to the local community, which, due to economic and transportation exclusion, does not have the opportunity to participate in cultural life in larger cities. The cultural events held at the manor in Sułkowice are very popular. The concert, held annually on the first Saturday of July, usually gathers over 250 people from the local area and from all over Poland. Concerts in other months (so-called ‘Jużyny’) are limited to an audience of about 100 due to the small scale of the manor building (the July concerts can also be listened to on the adjoining terrace and in the park, while ‘Jużyny’ take place exclusively inside the building). The year 2027 will mark the anniversary of the founding of Sułkowice. In connection with this, we are planning various types of artistic events.
