The Bosmans String Quartet consists of four enthusiastic young musicians who love nothing more than making music together. They share a great love of chamber music and seek freedom and expression within this form. They met at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and the Netherlands Youth String Orchestra
Since its inception in 2023, the quartet has taken masterclasses and lessons from musicians including members of the Dudok Quartet, the Attacca String Quartet, the Busch Trio and members of the Concertgebouw Orchestra. They have been selected as Quartet in Residency for the String Quartet Biennale Amsterdam 2028.
The quartet is named after Henriëtte Bosmans, an important Dutch composer and pianist, born in Amsterdam (1895). The string quartet she wrote is a great inspiration for the Bosmans Quartet.
