With a fresh perspective, the ADAM Quartet casts new light on the string quartet. Their playing is rooted in tradition yet infused with a contemporary spirit. In recent years, the quartet has appeared on prominent stages and at leading festivals in the Netherlands, while also building an international presence with performances across Europe and the United States. Their open and curious approach often leads to inspiring collaborations with other musical genres and artistic disciplines.
Highlights include performances at major Dutch venues such as the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, De Doelen Rotterdam, and TivoliVredenburg Utrecht, as well as appearances at international festivals and projects including Kronos Fifty for the Future. In 2026, the quartet performed at the String Quartet Biennale Amsterdam.
The quartet has developed under the guidance of members of leading ensembles such as Quatuor Ébène, Quatuor Danel, the Jerusalem Quartet, the Ysaÿe Quartet, and the Hagen Quartet. In 2025, they completed the post-academic program at the Dutch String Quartet Academy (NSKA), where they worked under the mentorship of Marc Danel. Their work has been recognized with several awards and distinctions, including the Kersjes Fund String Quartet Scholarship (2021) and Third Prize at the Triomphe de l’Art International Music Competition in Brussels (2024).
In September 2025, the ADAM Quartet released its debut album Exquisite Corpse on the New York-based label Better Company Records.
